Monorail
For a brighter future where investors can understand what they own, what it supports, and whether it reflects what they believe.
Project Overview
Investing is already complicated. Add personal convictions, portfolio screening, regulatory requirements, multiple account types, and several ways to invest, and clarity becomes part of the product itself. Monorail is a values-driven investment platform built to help people invest with greater visibility into the companies they own and the principles their money supports.
When Truesight joined the project, much of that experience had already been designed in pieces. Brand standards lived across separate documents. UX patterns had evolved independently. Product language, marketing systems, and interface decisions lacked a single source of truth. The website carrying all of it had also fallen significantly behind the sophistication of the platform.
The engagement began by bringing those systems back together. Brand, UX/UI, content hierarchy, and digital standards were consolidated into one cohesive design language, then extended across a fully responsive website of more than 60 pages built to communicate a highly technical financial product clearly, confidently, and within the constraints of a regulated industry.

The Gap
Monorail had strong ideas, useful technology, and an increasingly complex financial offering, but the experience around those products had grown unevenly. Brand standards were distributed across different documents and teams. Interface decisions had developed in separate contexts. The website itself felt dated and no longer reflected the credibility, sophistication, or scale of the business behind it.
That fragmentation became more consequential as the product expanded. A prospective investor might need to understand managed portfolios, self-directed investing, values screening, retirement accounts, portfolio analysis, fees, account transfers, or advisor relationships before feeling confident enough to continue. Each path carried its own information requirements while still needing to feel like part of the same Monorail experience.
Financial regulation added another layer. Disclosures, eligibility, risk, account requirements, and legally sensitive language could not simply be pushed aside in the pursuit of a cleaner interface. The design system needed to make complexity understandable while leaving room for the information required to build trust and remain compliant.

The Results
The project transformed Monorail from a collection of separate standards and an aging website into a unified digital product ecosystem. Brand, UX/UI, marketing, and web now share a common design language, giving the company a clearer foundation for communicating new products and expanding the platform over time.
The redesigned website brought more than 60 pages into that system, creating a responsive customer journey capable of supporting highly technical investment information, multiple product paths, educational resources, and the legal requirements of a regulated financial institution. The new architecture also made the platform easier to navigate and substantially clearer in how information is organized and presented.
Beyond the individual pages, the most important result is the system underneath them. Monorail now has a shared visual and UX foundation that can continue evolving with the company rather than requiring each new product, campaign, or digital experience to establish its own rules.
