Field Studio
For a brighter future where the tools disappear and creators can stay inside the image.
Project Overview
Field Studio began with a simple frustration: mobile photography has become incredibly capable, but the editing experience often feels caught between disposable filters and miniature desktop software. One gives creators speed without much authorship. The other gives them control at the cost of the experience. Field Studio is a Truesight venture built around a different idea.
The product combines the character and immediacy people love about film with the precision and flexibility of a modern digital workflow. Curated Film Looks provide a strong place to begin, while deeper controls, reusable Recipes, RAW-friendly editing, and tactile finishing tools give photographers room to shape the image into something distinctly their own. The goal was never to reproduce Lightroom on a smaller screen. It was to rethink what a focused creative tool could feel like when it was designed for the camera roll, the couch, the road, and the moments between shooting.

The Gap
Photography has never had more tools, yet editing can still interrupt the reason most people picked up a camera in the first place. Preset-driven apps make everything quick but often reduce creative decisions to a swipe. Professional editors expose enormous capability, but bring layers of panels, terminology, and desktop-era interaction into a mobile environment.
There was room for something quieter and more intentional: an editor that could give a photographer an immediate visual direction without locking the image into someone else’s taste.
The challenge was to create enough simplicity that Field Studio feels obvious the first time it opens, while building enough depth underneath that it can become part of a serious creative workflow.

The Results
Field Studio has moved from product concept into active production with a defined editing architecture, scalable interaction system, and a clear path to release.
The first version is being built around more than 60 film-inspired looks, deeper manual editing controls, reusable Recipes, and a RAW-friendly workflow. Ahead of launch, roughly 1,500 creators have joined the waiting list, providing an early signal that the problem extends beyond the original product idea.
The strongest outcome at this stage is the product itself: a broad creative ambition reduced into a focused experience that is clear enough to build, differentiated enough to have a point of view, and flexible enough to grow well beyond its first release.
