Overview
Understand the obstacle before changing the page
A checkout drop-off or a quiet service form is a symptom. The reason may be price uncertainty, missing information, a broken interaction, or a promise that changed between the ad and the page. VWO can bring behavioral observation and experimentation into one process so the team can investigate before redesigning.
We use those signals to form a narrow, useful question. What do visitors need at this point to continue with confidence? A heatmap can suggest where to look; a recording can reveal hesitation; a well-designed test can help evaluate a proposed change.
What We Do With it
A focused conversion plan
We inspect funnels, key pages, and behavior patterns, then develop alternate copy, layout, or interaction paths for a defined obstacle. We identify the primary outcome and any downstream measures that should remain healthy. Work may include a clearer offer, less demanding form, stronger product explanation, or a better sequence of information. We prioritize changes by the consequence for the visitor and the business, not by how easy they are to test.
How We Use It
Connect observation to experiment
We check event quality and audience definition before interpreting behavior. Then we record the hypothesis, build the variation, test the implementation, and make sure the measurement reflects the action we actually care about. We avoid running a test that cannot gather enough evidence to answer its question.
Afterward, we review conversion data with recordings, feedback, and lead or order quality. A higher button click rate matters only when the experience beyond that button also improves.
