Overview
Let the interaction clarify the idea
A three-dimensional object can invite someone to explore a product or reveal how a system fits together. It can also distract from the message if the visitor must wait for a heavy scene before learning what the business does. Spline gives us a way to model and prototype interactive 3D experiences for the web.
We decide what the scene is meant to communicate before shaping it. Sometimes the right result is a small, responsive object that makes a page feel alive. Sometimes it is a guided sequence that helps a visitor inspect a feature. The interaction needs a reason to exist.
What We Do With it
3D scenes with a specific job
We can develop objects, materials, lighting, animation, and interactive states for product explanations, campaign moments, or website sections. We design the surrounding copy and layout with the scene, so the visitor understands what to look at and what to do next. We also prepare a useful still image or simpler presentation when a device, connection, or accessibility need makes the interactive version unsuitable. The 3D work serves the broader experience rather than standing apart as a showpiece.
How We Use It
Prototype early and test in the page
We begin with a storyboard or rough interaction that names the information a visitor should gain. Then we build the scene and place it in the actual page context, where size, loading, scroll behavior, and touch input can be judged honestly. An interaction that feels elegant in the editor may need restraint on a phone.
We test performance and alternate states before release and watch whether the scene helps people continue through the page. The strongest 3D choice makes the offer easier to picture.
