Overview
Draw the idea before polishing the system
Some ideas are easier to find with a pencil than a grid. A rough illustration can reveal a character, mood, or visual metaphor before the team decides how it will appear in a campaign. Procreate gives us a direct way to explore those possibilities and produce finished artwork when a drawn quality is right for the message.
We begin with the role the image plays. Illustration can make a difficult concept approachable, give editorial work a recognizable voice, or create a moment of warmth in a digital product. It still has to serve the reader.
What We Do With it
Illustration that belongs to the brand
We can develop character studies, storyboards, editorial illustrations, campaign artwork, textures, and hand-drawn elements for motion or web use. We explore a few directions against actual copy and formats rather than asking stakeholders to choose from isolated pictures. Once a direction is set, we define recurring choices in line, color, proportion, and texture so future illustrations feel related without becoming duplicates.
How We Use It
Keep the hand, plan the handoff
We start with quick sketches and review the concept while it is still easy to change. Then we refine the composition and test it at the sizes and crops required. A detailed illustration may need a simplified companion for an icon or small screen; a character may need separate parts prepared for animation.
We deliver the appropriate source and export files for the next stage of production. The work should retain its expressive quality while remaining practical for the team building the rest of the experience.
