Overview
See how the work connects
Some processes have more than one branch: a form submission may need different routing depending on the service, region, or account status. Make provides a visual platform for connecting apps and building those workflows. The design challenge is to make each branch serve a clear business rule and remain understandable when the process changes.
We begin with a map of the current handoffs and the points where someone has to interpret information. This reveals which steps can be automated and where a human judgment belongs.
What We Do With it
Scenarios shaped around real rules
We can build scenarios that move information between systems, transform fields, route records, and notify the appropriate owner. We define what counts as a valid input, how to handle missing or duplicate data, and what a failure should tell the team. We keep the business process legible beside the technical flow, so staff can explain why a particular record took a particular path. Where a simpler connection is enough, we use the least complicated design that meets the need.
How We Use It
Test every branch before relying on it
We walk through typical cases and the exceptions that usually create extra work: a missing email, an updated record, a cancellation, or a system that responds late. We verify the result in the destination app, not just a successful run in the automation tool.
The completed flow gets an owner, a short operating guide, and a plan for changes. Good automation reduces friction while giving the organization a clear view of what it is doing.
