Overview
Use small motion to answer a question
A visitor submits a form and waits without feedback. A product changes state, but the screen barely acknowledges it. A small animation can show that something happened or help explain the next step. LottieFiles supports the review and delivery of animations for digital use; the judgment lies in choosing the moments that deserve movement.
We treat motion as part of interface language. It should make a state clearer, preserve the brand's character, and leave the task easy to complete even when animation is unavailable or reduced.
What We Do With it
Animations with a defined role
We can create and prepare loading states, success messages, onboarding illustrations, icons, and small brand moments for websites or products. We coordinate visual behavior with the surrounding interface and prepare files for the team's implementation workflow. A set of animations should share timing and visual rules without looping everywhere on a page. We also define static alternatives and consider accessibility and performance before making motion a required part of an interaction.
How We Use It
Design the still state first
We begin by asking what someone must understand before, during, and after the animation. We sketch those states, test timing, and review the motion in its actual component rather than only in a preview window. On a phone, even a small movement can compete with text or slow a task.
We check playback, fallbacks, and the handoff to development. The animation is successful when people understand the experience more readily, whether or not they consciously notice the craft.
