Overview
Give different footage one visual direction
A launch film may combine an interview, field footage, product shots, and material from an earlier campaign. Each source has its own lighting and camera character. DaVinci Resolve gives us editing, color, and finishing tools to bring that material into a coherent piece without making every scene look artificially identical.
We work from the emotional and practical purpose of each shot. Color can help a viewer feel the change between environments, recognize a brand, or focus on a person. It should support the story rather than call attention to a grading preset.
What We Do With it
Editing and finishing for distribution
We can assemble films, refine pacing, balance color across shots, develop a visual treatment, and prepare deliverables for web, social, or presentations. We review exposure and skin tones alongside the brand's broader image language, then check graphics, sound, and caption needs before export. For a product or documentary story, we preserve important visual information even when a more dramatic grade would be tempting.
How We Use It
Grade in the final context
We begin with the intended audience, footage, and distribution formats. A rough edit establishes the story before detailed color work. We then balance the sources, develop the look on representative scenes, and review the film across different displays and crops. A beautiful frame on one monitor may not hold together on a phone in daylight.
We organize versions and final exports so the team knows which file belongs where. A finished film should feel deliberate across every shot and understandable without a technical explanation of how it was made.
