The Vision

For a brighter future where nonprofits have a direct, dependable way to receive the support that keeps their mission moving.

Heart Support

Project Overview

Heart Support is representative work based on confidential giving-platform experience completed by Garrhet Sampson while employed within a publicly traded fintech company. It is not a Truesight client engagement. The case study demonstrates work across donor journeys, brand systems, responsive UX, product demonstrations, and digital experiences designed to make giving feel clear, trustworthy, and easy to complete. The Heart Support name, visual identity, and selected platform details have been adapted to honor an active NDA.

The Gap

For nonprofits, donations are more than transactions. They are a direct connection between people who want to help and organizations dependent on that support to continue their work.

The underlying product was developed around the need for a more direct and dependable giving channel—one capable of reducing friction between intention and action while giving organizations greater confidence in the infrastructure supporting their donors.

The design challenge was to translate financial technology into an experience that did not feel financial. Donors needed clarity and trust, organizations needed reliability, and the product needed to make the act of giving feel simple rather than technical.

The System

The product experience was organized around the donor journey first. Brand, interface, content, and interaction decisions worked together to reduce uncertainty and make the path from intent to completed donation as clear as possible.

Reusable UX and design standards supported responsive giving flows, nonprofit-facing experiences, product demonstrations, and the broader digital presence. The visual language remained approachable while retaining the credibility expected from software responsible for financial transactions.

Product demonstrations also helped communicate the opportunity beyond individual interface screens, giving executive stakeholders and prospective partners a clearer understanding of both the user experience and the larger platform behind it.

The Work

Heart Support is a representative presentation of confidential product work rather than the name of the underlying commercial platform. Brand details, interface presentation, and supporting assets have been adapted so the design approach can be shown without exposing protected information.

The case study focuses on the actual problem being solved: creating a trustworthy bridge between donors, nonprofit organizations, and the financial infrastructure that makes support possible.

The underlying product work reached executive-level prospective stakeholders, demonstrating how thoughtful product design could make a technically complex fintech platform understandable within a mission-driven giving context.

The Results

The work contributed to a new fintech product that progressed from early product development into a live, revenue-generating platform.

After launch, publicly reported outcomes included:

  • Competitive validation following extended real-world evaluation
  • Stronger donor performance and user experience than alternative platforms
  • Continued customer adoption across multiple organization types
  • A streamlined onboarding experience capable of moving organizations from signup to launch in as little as 48 hours

Because the original product remains covered by an active NDA, additional adoption and platform details are intentionally omitted.

By The Numbers

Validated Through Real-World Use

The platform moved beyond concept and prototype into active market use, supporting real transactions and live fundraising experiences.

Competitive Product Performance

Following an extended evaluation period, the platform was publicly reported to have delivered stronger donor results and a better user experience than alternative solutions.

Expanded Market Adoption

After launch, the product continued growing its customer base and expanded beyond its initial market into additional nonprofit and mission-driven organizations.
